Our Founder

It’s a good thing Harry Krueger’s dream of becoming a race car driver never came true. Hundreds of clients have benefited from Harry’s personalized attention, which is not only the hallmark of his 50-plus years as an interior designer but also the abiding principle of the company he founded.

Harry began his professional career after graduating from the Layton School of Art and Design (now the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design). In 1969 he founded his own interior design firm in Middleton, Wisconsin.

“Simplicity,” says Harry, “is a prerequisite of good design—with a little glitz thrown in.” And the key to successful design projects? “Making a personal connection with my clients was integral. I wanted them to be involved. I wanted to engage them and create a design based on their preferences, not mine.”

Almost 50 years after Harry founded the firm, the skilled designers at H. Krueger & Associates continue his legacy by maintaining the highest standards for design and encouraging clients to express who they are through their spaces.
